I'm so excited to meet you! We'll have a good time. I watched the video as well but I didn't cry. I did, however, feel extremely lucky to be able to run in that gorgeous setting.
I already told Chloe, but here's my big suggestion for the race- get a cabin/room at redcliffs lodge in Moab- it's just up the canyon where you start the race, in the most beautiful scenery. It may already be booked but that was the best decision we made that trip!
And, the rooms are big enough you can pack people in them, but the floor isn't very comfortable. We did wake up to a moose outside our window.
I'm so excited slash proud of you for doing the half marathon. I'm very sad I won't be here to cheer you on though. :( Don't worry, I'll be thinking about you in Portland.
