300! GIVEAWAY!

My little baby blog is now officially 300 posts old.
Does it feel older than that to anyone else beside me?

So what are we going to do to celebrate???

GIVEAWAY!

I know, I know... giveaways are a totally shameless tactic to get readers and comments. But, I am shameless so this kind of works out. And if y'all knew just how much validation I get from your comments you'd totally go along with me on this one. So, ya know, go along with me on this one.

The prize: Well... I'm still working on this one. But it's going to be chock-full of awesome.

Here's how you enter: Leave me a comment and tell me how much you like me and my blog, why you come here or what you'd like to see more of. I'll gladly oblige any of your suggestions.

Since this seems to be the year of 3s and 0s, we'll keep the contest open until October 30th at 3pm PST at which time I'll pick 3 winners.

So, spread the word.

One of the secrets left was how much they hate giveaways. When I replied "Point taken.", they said they hate everybody's but mine! Hahahaha! Yeah, right.

I love them, and I love your blog. I need me some stuff.

As I scrolled down my google reader this morning and saw a new post on La Belle Dame Sans Regrets, I honestly thought how much I like to see a post from Cropstar because I never know what it will bring.

---Maybe a dose of pop culture, spiritual enlightenment, or real-life truisms, some great photography of people and places I love, or inspiration to get me out on the street running. It's always different, but always something I appreciate.

Not even joking. I really thought that in the split second before I read this email.

Just letting you know...that I totally appreciate how much you love blogging because I also love it. And yes, I feel fulfillment and validation through comments. Did I hear that you aren't going to be in our ward anymore? Well, it's sad, but I totally understand the need to progress and more forward, and that's what you are doing.

I love your blog because of the way you write! We've never met, but I feel like we have...via Chloe. And I know we'd totally hang out in real life and talk about Neil Haskell if we didn't live across the country from each other. :)

I love your blog because I love you. How could I not love someone who eats bananas the same strange way that I do?!

Happy 300th!

300! It doesn't look a day over 250! My reluctance to join the blogging community was due to fear of having to compete with the likes of Christy. Someone who is smarter, funnier, (and funner), wittier, and more humble than I can ever hope to be. And, with infinitely better hair. So great, that I can even forgive ditching out on NKOTB. You rock!

hmmm...the fact that i've had to rewind the real world/road rules challenge three times while trying to condense my feelings about how AWESOME you are should land me this special prize...it is virtually impossible to do. The fact that I choose to read your AMAZING blog over watching reality t.v. is really a HUGE compliment to you and your mad blogging skills....if that's not sacrifice, I don't know what is.

Oh and I would like to see more LDS satire...to funny

First of all, I've secretly convinced myself over the years that I was the best roommate ever! We had some good times. Also, you happen to be on of the funnest people I have ever known. I've learned many things from you. And the number one reason I should win this, (drumroll please)- I am turning 30 on the 30th! How weird is that? It fits right into your 30 theme. Wow. I think it is meant to be . . . :)

lol. For not knowing you for more than about a month, I am positively addicted to your most delightful blog! It has been such a pleasure to get to know you through the singles ward! I think you are one of the classiest and most fun people I know! And you have the best fashion sense, and you always look absolutely stunnning! Anyways, I just wanted to know that you have a highly devoted reader here! Keep writing.... I am a BIG fan! I love your stuff!
Love ya!

Dear Christy,

I believe I have not yet seen anyone fully answer all of your questions properly, as instructed. I will attempt to do so now. That should at least qualify me a little even though I am related to you and don't need cupcakes...I'm thinking that commercial with the girl with cinnamon rolls on her arse.

1) Why I like you -- well, I like you because you are so much like me and we're twins...and then you are completely nothing like me at the same time, which is at times shocking.

2) I like your blog because otherwise it would be very difficult to keep track of you. I like how you show your smarts, your talents, your creativity and your insanity for all the world to see with absolutely no shame. (This is where we would be NOTHING alike).

3) I come because it's more fun than actually doing work when I'm at work.

4) The one thing I haven't quite seen enough of is all the blogs you've been meaning to write about how fantastic your sisters are and how much you admire them and appreciate them for all they've done for you, including feeding you, changing you and chasing your naked self down the hall to get your diapers back on and letting you hang out with us, I mean them, even though you're still a little punk kid. ;)

Love you a bazillion. See you at LAX tomorrow...too bad you can't just bring me my cupcakes then...haa-haa.

I can't believe I haven't entered this one yet! Okay, I will fulfill the entry requirements - I like you cause you are funny and smart and cute (your blog is also all of these things). And of course the most important reason is because you read my blog ;)

I come here to bask in awesomeness. And there is nothing I really care to see more of, just keep doing the same thing!

I am a lurker who has absolutely no shame and will enter yur 300th post for several reasons...

1. Your blog is awesome. I've only stalked it for a short while (3 days) but I love it so far.
2. I'm shameless and hope you stop by my blog to check out it's crazy contents.
3. Did I mention your blog was amazing and the envy of all blogs?
4. I'm extremely bored at work!
5. Congratulations on the 300th post!

I love your blog because of the way you write, because your grammar is good, because you put things on your blog that I often want to share (count this as your inherent good taste in everything), and because you inspire me to try more things and to persevere in the pursuit of new passions (like your running and photography). I also love that you're righteous and real.

Love you!
